Pozo Izquierdo´s beach in Gran Canaria is worldwide known due to it´s excellent conditions for the practice of any water sport, specially windsurf. That´s the reason why this beach has become one of the principal host of the Windsurf World Championship. In this small spot in the ocean has been the cradle of world windsurfing champion Björn Dunkerbeck and elite windsurfers such as the Ruano sisters Daida and Iballa.
It seems as if there was a conspiracy between the ocean, the fine weather and the gentle breezes which cover Gran Canaria. A marine conspiracy which obliges all who come to live here to try it at least once. You should try it yourself.
